The Price Breaker
Amazon Music Unlimited review 2026
For Prime members, the cheapest route to hi-res and Dolby Atmos. With Echo speakers, music becomes a matter of voice. The app feels cluttered though, and recommendations trail Spotify.

Our review
Amazon Music Unlimited is the price breaker in the high-end segment. Prime members pay €9.99 a month for Ultra HD audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz plus Dolby Atmos – hi-res doesn’t get cheaper anywhere else. Without Prime the plan costs €10.99, and if you only listen on a single Echo or Fire TV device, €5.49 is enough.
The service shines brightest in the smart home: with Echo speakers, music becomes a matter of voice. Podcasts and one audiobook per month are included too. Amazon’s weaknesses are the app, which many users find cluttered, and recommendations that don’t match Spotify’s.
Our verdict: for Prime customers with Alexa devices, the best value on the market. If you spend a lot of time in the app and want to discover new music, you’re better served elsewhere.
